Hear from keynote speaker Astronaut Curt Brown, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and veteran of six space shuttle missions. Brown joined NASA in 1987 and logged more than 1,383 hours in space across missions STS-47, STS-66, STS-77, STS-85, STS-95, and STS-103. He served as pilot on three missions and commanded three Space Shuttle Discovery flights, including the historic STS-95 mission that returned Senator John Glenn to space and the STS-103 mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope.
Following his flight career, Brown held senior leadership roles at NASA, including Astronaut Office Lead of Shuttle Operations and deputy director of the Flight Crew Operations Directorate. He was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in 2013 and currently serves as Chairman of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation鈥檚 Board of Directors.聽
