Museum Discovery Series planned for spring semester

The University of Alaska Museum of the North has planned a new series of presentations for the spring semester. The Museum Discovery Series features a different curator each month unveiling new discoveries based on research in the museum鈥檚 collections.

The presentations will be held in the museum auditorium on Thursdays at noon and are free and open to the public.

This year鈥檚 series includes the following presentations:

  • Feb. 23, 鈥淎laskan Dinosaur Update: New Digs; New Discoveries,鈥 by Patrick Druckenmiller.

  • March 23, 鈥淭he Ongoing Return of Life to Kasatochi Volcano,鈥 by Derek Sikes.

  • April 20, 鈥淲orth a Thousand Words: Preserving Alaska鈥檚 Visual History鈥 by Leonard Kamerling.
