Students can earn a minor in leadership through a new program created by The Northern Leadership Center in ºÀ»ª×ÊÔ´ School of Management.

During the past decade, surveys have indicated leadership ability is one of the top five skills employers want in a new employee. With this new minor, students can jump-start their careers by meeting employer needs.

The minor became available in the fall 2014 semester.

To earn the minor, students choose two of the following core courses:

  • LEAD/BA 470 — Leadership Theory and Development

  • LEAD/BA 472 — Leading Change

  • HSEM/LEAD 456 — Leadership and Influence During Crisis

In addition, students choose nine additional credit hours from one of several tracks: Business administration, communication, military science, outdoor leadership or political science.
