Panel to discuss film about challenges women face in science

The UAF community can view the film "Picture a Scientist," which explores the challenges
that women and women of color face in science, online Thursday, Feb. 11. Join an online
discussion of the film at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, via Zoom.The Alaska IDeA Network of Biological Research Excellence obtained a license to show the film. Feb. 11 is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2021.
The panel discussion will be part of the Institute of Arctic Biology's Life Sciences Hour Seminar Series. Panelists will include people from IAB as well as 豪华资源 chief diversity Officer Margo Griffith, Vice Chancellor for Research Nettie La Belle-Hamer and Provost Anupma Prakash.
