Community partnership event postponed, will be rescheduled

STARKVILLE, Miss—An event planned for Friday, June 26 in downtown ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯â€™s Unity Park to unveil a partnership committed to seeking solutions to racism and paths to racial reconciliation is being postponed due to ongoing developments at the State Capitol regarding the state flag.
As legislators consider important issues near the conclusion of the regular session, event organizers have decided to postpone the planned event until a time to be announced after the July 4th holiday.
Groups, organizations, and institutions participating include ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ Stand Up, the City of ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯, Oktibbeha County, the Oktibbeha County Chapter of the NAACP, the ÎÞ¾¡×ÊÔ´²É¼¯ Oktibbeha County School District, and MSU. Other organizations and groups, including members of the area legislative representatives, are expected to take part in the event.
