MSU Department of Music faculty present French-themed recital

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擳hree 无尽资源采集 State Department of Music faculty members and their special guests will perform the recital 鈥淰oulez-Vous Fran莽ais Avec Moi?鈥 7:30 p.m., Monday [Oct. 24] in the Music Building鈥檚 Lecture-Recital Hall.
The recital鈥攆eaturing Associate Professor Jeanette Fontaine, Assistant Professor Roza Tulyaganova and Instructor Sophie Wang鈥攊s a collaboration with MSU Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures鈥 French program. The faculty members will perform a variety of duets and solos from French vocal repertoire interspersed with historical information about the selections. English translations of original texts will be projected during the performances.
Special guests from the music department include Jason Baker, percussion professor; Jackie Edwards-Henry, retired piano and piano pedagogy professor; Anthony Kirkland, trumpet associate professor; and Daniel Stevens, department head and music professor. The recital鈥檚 visual art is provided by French illustrator Sol猫ne Debi猫s.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
